TOPIC: Living Simple Blind Trust Asset Distribution to Benef.- taxed?

Living Simple Blind Trust Asset Distribution to Benef.- taxed? 4 months, 3 weeks ago #296

Assuming:

-A Grantor, who is also Trustee, establishes and funds a blind trust with assets (money). The money earned either by the Grantor or earned under the name/EID of the trust.
-The trust then distributes all the assets to the beneficiaries. This distribution is done before any interest or other income is generated.

What events in this scenario would trigger tax events?

Based upon the facts presented, I don't believe there are any events that would trigger a tax event. That's because all the assets of the trust were distributed to the beneficiaries before any interest or other income was generated. If no income was earned, then there is nothing to report and no taxes owing.

Am I missing something here?
